This poster is a reissue of a color period tourist poster promoting the Puits de Padirac, depicting the Lake of Rain and the Great Pendeloque.
Very soon after the opening of the Gouffre de Padirac to the public in 1898, its administrator at the time, William Beamish, took into account — for the development of this exceptional site — the rise of automobiles and railways, the impact of paid holidays, and the beginnings of advertising.
