This bookmark is one of the items designed in 2018 exclusively for the Gouffre de Padirac; it is based on its iconography and its discoverer, Edouard-Alfred Martel.
The Puits de Padirac is a natural cavity that is 33 metres in diameter and 75 metres deep. It is considered a major geological curiosity, and was discovered in 1889 by Edouard-Alfred Martel. The exploration starts by going down a ladder of which the design was inspired by Gustave Eiffel. [For more information]
