This collection of four notebooks is illustrated with re-issues of tourist posters displayed in the 1900s at Rocamadour Railway Station, which was served by the Brive-Toulouse railway.
Very soon after the Gouffre de Padirac opened to the public in 1898, its administrator of the time, William Beamish, thinking of the development of this unusual site, took into consideration the boom in motor cars and the railways, the impact of paid leave, and the advent of advertising.
