A selection of three of the most beautiful views of the Gouffre de Padirac: the Puits de Padirac, the Grande Pendeloque, and the Salle du Grand Dôme.
The Puits de Padirac is a natural cavity that is 33 metres in diameter and 75 metres deep. It is considered a major geological curiosity, and was discovered in 1889 by Edouard-Alfred Martel. The exploration starts by going down a ladder of which the design was inspired by Gustave Eiffel. [For more information]
